Abstract: Pointers on buying meat, poultry, eggs, nonfat milk, and fruits and vegetables are listed in a pocket size handbook. Advantages of purchasing large cuts of meat, subprimals and lean beef are described. Cutting up a whole chicken and boning a chicken breast are illustrated in step by step diagrams. A chart on chicken prices allows comparisons of whole chickens to chicken parts. Months in which fresh produce is in greatest supply are charted. (rkm)
