Abstract:
Extract: New physicians encounter more problems in setting up a rural practice than an urban one, according to a recent study of Georgia physicians. The problems for rural doctors range from inadequate hospital facilities to a sense of isolation from colleagues to unmet needs of other family members. Some of the problems can be mitigated by physician groups and community groups working together.
