Abstract:
The Sequoia National Forest is described as the gateway to the southern Sierras, characterized by soaring granite monoliths, glacier-carved canyons, limestone caves, world-class whitewater, scenic lakes and reservoirs, and towering conifers. The Sequoia National Forest is named for the world's largest trees, giant sequoias, and contains the greatest concentration of giant sequoia groves in the world.
