Abstract:
This document provides guidelines for temperature and humidity requirements in dog kennels and includes how to recognize heat stress and cold stress (hypothermia) in dogs. It also points out that certain breeds of dogs (short-nosed breeds such as pugs; short-legged breeds such as dachshunds, and hairless breeds such as Chinese Crested) tend to be more susceptible to extremes in temperature.
